Make way for the latest education application in town: Classle Slate

Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Classle, a social learning network, with a focus always to improve quality of education and the way of learning has brought out a fascinating application, the Classle Slate.  It is an android app that connects the student to an exciting learning world where every activity is highly interactive and engaging. As a pocket version of the Classle.net, the app gives way for students to access their education material and other valuable expertise available on site anywhere anytime.

As students of Tier II and Tier III cities faces problems with internet accessibility, Classle Slate is designed in a way that it can be accessed even on an offline mode. Features such as enabling the student to attempt Quizzes, Ask doubts or questions, Read text content and view video lectures or listen to audio content which are a part of their Learning Circles can be accessed in an offline mode. This app also helps them to download all the necessary learning resources like videos, text &audio and learn from them later in an internet-free zone.  However, the students can connect to their cloud campus and update content and other interactions when they are in an internet-rich environment.

Classle aspires to make this application available for the entire student community. Students would be largely benefited because the Classle Slate is designed to work on similar low-cost tablets devices with specifications as in Aakash – II or Ubislate 7.  These devices are available today for about Rs. 5,500 and the Government is taking steps to provide subsidized versions of the same to students.  This would make the education reach ubiquitous.  Of course, the Classle Slate app by itself is free.

The cloud classes are an important feature of Classle Slate that will provide the student with an opportunity to interact with over 6000 faculty and experts on the Classle platform. It also enables the students logged on to Classle.net to interact with other students of the community. The students form their own communities and interest groups which are moderated by the experts on Classle. To facilitate the learning experience of the students from different rural areas, Classle Slate provides multi-language support allowing the students to learn in their own native languages. All the content that the student or the faculty posts on the Classle slate is placed in the already huge repository of content namely the Classle library.
