Thom Collier Supports Romney at Town Hall Meeting in Mount Vernon, Ohio

Oct. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Thom Collier, Republican candidate for Knox County Commissioner, was pleased to support U.S. Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, at a recent town hall meeting held in Mount Vernon, Ohio on Wednesday, October 10.

Held at the Ariel Corporation, Thom joined many other conservative supporters of former Massachusetts Governor Romney and Ariel employees at the campaign appearance.  In addition to Mr. Romney, Ohio Senator Rob Portman and current New Jersey Governor Chris Christy each spoke to those in attendance.

Thom, a lifelong Knox County resident, is running for a position as a Knox County Commissioner.  Thom is a leader in his family, church and community. Over the past 30 years, Thom has been a businessman, public servant, consultant, public speaker, property manager and a top-producing Realtor here in Knox County.  His public service record includes a pivotal stint on the Mount Vernon City Council and eight years as an Ohio State Senator.  There he received numerous awards and citations from business organizations for his representation of their concerns.

Thom is extremely active in civic and volunteer groups around Knox County, is a founding member of the Exchange Club, and a recipient of the Knox County JAYCEES Distinguished Service Award.  Both his public and his personal life reflect that he is a pro-life, pro-business, and pro-Second Amendment rights candidate for Knox County Commissioner.

Thom cites that if elected, his most important role as a Knox County Commissioner is to be “concerned not only about the constituency and being open, accessible, available to constituents” but to “know the knowledge of the local community, know about the concerns, and to be looking forward to what we can do in Knox County to avoid the pitfalls of some of the counties that surround us.”  Thom cites that Knox County is among the fastest growing counties in Ohio.
