Held at the Ariel Corporation, Thom joined many other conservative supporters of former Massachusetts Governor Romney and Ariel employees at the campaign appearance. In addition to Mr. Romney, Ohio Senator Rob Portman and current New Jersey Governor Chris Christy each spoke to those in attendance. Thom, a lifelong Knox County resident, is running for a position as a Knox County Commissioner. Thom is a leader in his family, church and community. Over the past 30 years, Thom has been a businessman, public servant, consultant, public speaker, property manager and a top-producing Realtor here in Knox County. His public service record includes a pivotal stint on the Mount Vernon City Council and eight years as an Ohio State Senator. There he received numerous awards and citations from business organizations for his representation of their concerns. Thom is extremely active in civic and volunteer groups around Knox County, is a founding member of the Exchange Club, and a recipient of the Knox County JAYCEES Distinguished Service Award. Both his public and his personal life reflect that he is a pro-life, pro-business, and pro-Second Amendment rights candidate for Knox County Commissioner.
