"Our new background ad is a modification of our previous backdrop ad system. In the past, we used a specific area of our login page to advertise brands like Etisalat and Blackberry. Recently, we underwent a hackathon that led to a new login page design. Yesterday, I brainstormed on a new idea of dedicating the entire background of our login page to promote brands for an affordable fee, and we debuted with an ad for Dropbox, which we ran previously with our top banner ad system", said Chika Nwaogu, CEO and President at LAGbook, Inc.
Chika continued, "We run our new background ad for as low as twenty thousand naira per day, and offer attractive discounts to advertisers running for longer durations. We're working on our business model, and we think that the new Background Ad will go well in it. LAGbook recently reached profitability with our Blackberry deal, and we intend to remain profitable for as long as we exist".
"LAGbook is a social discovery platform, and helping our almost five hundred thousand registered users, and over two million visitors to discover new brands through the new background ads is an awesome idea. The new background ads will not only promote brands to our registered members, but also to our non-registered visitors, which spans into millions", said Chidi Nwaogu, Co-founder of LAGbook.
Chidi continued, "The cost to run ads with the new background ad system will increase progressively as our user size and visitor size increases with time. LAGbook is a fast growing social networking website with over 6,000 daily new signups. The same goes to all our ad systems too."
