Oct. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Kathleen Womack from Hickory Creek, Texas has been without heating and A/C in her home for two years. At 70 years old, even the more moderate temperature of Hickory Creek is hard to bear. Landmark Home Foundation has selected Kathleen as a recipient of its “Help a Home” program. With help from local vendors, Landmark will repair and replace the A/C and heating systems or components needed to keep Kathleen’s home comfortable year round.

More about Kathleen

Kathleen is a wonderful artist and devout Christian. Four years ago she used her savings to purchase her current home, right at the top of the market. Although an inspection was performed, severe problems with Carpenter ants and flooding were not disclosed or discovered. The Board of Realtors reprimanded the realtor and inspector, but nothing was done to help Kathleen pay for the repairs.

Aside from Social Security, Kathleen’s sole income comes from art students she tutors in her home. The uncomfortable conditions makes this difficult for Kathleen and her students.
