Pure View announces a new free iPhone App “Election 2012: Obama v Romney In their own words"

PureView's Election 2012: Obama vs Romney In their Own WordsIt allows people to quickly access the candidate’s views through their Iphone, with actual videos of the candidates.

Oct. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Election 2012 was created by three recent college graduates after having a discussion about where to get the presidential candidates true views on the important issues facing Americans today - instantly and with no bias.  They decided to create an app that would allow people to answer quick disputes about candidate’s views with actual videos of the candidates talking about the topic in their own words.  The creators of the app felt that voters deserved a source that would clearly compare each candidate’s stance in a side-by-side view.  Voters today, especially young voters, are accustomed to instant access to information.  Listening to traditional news channels and having to search countless web sites for answers to their questions does not engage them.  This generation, although often times labeled as disengaged, are savvy and ambitious and want to become informed quickly and honestly.  For this reason, standard platforms have struggled to interest these voters enough to learn more about their candidates and become part of the political process.

The Election 2012 app is non-partisan and compares each of the 2012 Presidential Candidate’s platforms, detailing both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney’s positions on the most critical issues of the election.  The PureView team decided to make a positive difference in the world and help the average voter, regardless of their party affiliation, be fully informed when discussing the issues and entering the voting booth.  The motive was to provide easy access to non-biased information about political candidates, to allow people to become informed through a mobile application, and foster intelligent discussion. The app is an example of how the younger generation is getting involved in what is being called the most important election in history.  The app is free on the app store.

PureView has faith that when each candidate’s position on the issues is clear and easily accessible, every voter will enter the voting booth armed with the information to make an intelligent, informed decision independently, thus contributing to making a better America and transforming the impression that they are disengaged.
The Election 2012 app reflects only the opinions of the presidential candidates.  No third parties or special interest group’s views are shown or influenced the content.  The development of the app was done by these individuals without funding or support from any political campaign or Super PAC.  The graduates have full time jobs and have spent their own time and money to develop the app, with the expectation of facilitating democracy by providing honest and easy to find information.

“Our goal is to empower citizens with the technology they use every day and make it accessible while they are having conversations with other people,” the team said.   “PureView’s app - Election 2012: Obama vs. Romney: In their Own Words - allows users to access concise information on the major issues, such as the economy, jobs, energy, tax policy, unemployment, and foreign affairs – anytime, anywhere, and in the palm of their hand”. The app features quotes and the video corresponding to the quotes and allows users to share this information in one click via Facebook, Twitter, or Email.
Most of the content and topics for this app are “crowdsourced” and submitted to the developers by the users through the PureView website.  PureView developers rely on content suggestions to improve the app and have the most up to date quotes and topics available.  Let your voice be heard.  If you would like to submit a suggestion or topic, visit http://PureViewApp.com/suggest-content-or-changes/

And if you like Election 2012, tell others, use the app to share the topics that interest you, and make your case via Facebook, Twitter, or Email.
