National Black PreLaw Conference Offers Game-Changing Connections and Knowledge to Aspiring LawyersThe 8th Annual National Black Pre-Law Conference and Law Fair will be held from November 2-3, 2012 in Houston, TX. This event reaches out to aspiring Black lawyers to provide them with game-changing "insider" information, resources and contacts.
This year's schedule is jam-packed with everything any aspiring lawyer would need to know before deciding to pursue this challenging and highly competitive path. There will be powerful and thought-provoking workshop sessions and panel discussions made up of expert law school administrators and accomplished and knowledgeable law students, law graduates, lawyers and judges from across the nation. Key "insider" information will be shared about the admissions process, the Law School Admission Test, personal and diversity statements, financing a legal education, selecting a law school, preparing for and making the most of the law school experience, diversity issues, passing the bar exam, managing student loan debt, different legal career options and paths, finding success in the job search, and keys to career advancement. Several dynamic keynote and special guest speakers will be featured who will share words of wisdom, encouragement and their own personal journeys to lawyerhood. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to experience mock law classes, participate in the signature advice clinic and practical assistance session, make connections during the networking social mixer, and meet nearly 100 law schools at the Law School Recruitment Fair. The conference will end on a high note with a special Aspiring Lawyers Pinning Ceremony. Pre-law registrants will also receive access to complimentary done-for-you resources, professional success skills tele-seminars, as well as law school preparation and success e-books. No other comprehensive national pre-law conference like this exists - period. With only 7% of law students and 5% of all lawyers being African American, the need for greater representation remains high. This groundbreaking "must attend" event is free of charge and open to the public. High school students, college students and graduates, working professionals, career changers, multicultural, career and pre-law advisors, as well as supporters and parents are all encouraged to take advantage of the amazing benefits this world-class conference offers.
