Follow on Google News | Padgett Stratemann Launches Fall 2012 Computer Donation ProgramFirm calls on area non-profits to apply for 20 Dell laptops with Windows XP
By: Padgett Stratemann Since its inception in Fall 2010, the computer donation program has given 106 laptops to over 55 Texas-based non-profits. The computers have enabled non-profits to better perform their mission, by providing an avenue for mobile training and presentations, case management efficiencies, adoption registrations, along with a host of other functions aimed at helping the disadvantaged. “When we support a neighbor in need, we’re building a stronger community for everyone to enjoy,” said John Wright, managing partner, PS&Co. “Building on over sixty years of community involvement, our computer donation program is meeting the crucial technology needs of our local non-profits.” Starting October 8, PS&Co. is accepting applications from non-profits who can put up to three computers to good use in their efforts to serve the community. The application is now available. Non-profits can submit the application online or postmark their submission by October 31. For more information, visit www.padgett- On November 30, non-profits will receive notification of the program’s results. Laptop distribution coordination will immediately follow the announcements. Non-profits that have received computers in the San Antonio area include the San Antonio Opera, JOVEN, Inc., Christian Senior Services, Green Spaces Alliance and IDEA Public Schools. In the Austin area, non-profits that have received computers include the Austin Humane Society, Greenlights for Nonprofit Success, Austin Children’s Shelter, Austin Sunshine Camps and Manos de Cristos.
