The Director’s Interview Airs On Dare to Dream Radio with Debbi Dachinger.
By: DareToDream If you’ve ever visited Sedona and fell in love with its slightly quirky nature, it’s possible you may have thought that the area would make a great setting for film. That’s exactly what happened when writer/director Tommy Stovall moved to the Arizona town. The film stars Francis Fisher and Barry Corbin, written and directed by Tommy Stovall, Sedona depicts the profound personal transformations experienced by a powerful advertising executive and a stressed-out lawyer over the course of one life-altering day in mystical Sedona, Arizona. As President of Pasidg Productions, Tommy started out in the early 1990's with TRS Productions, his own production company in Texas which specialized in industrial, promotional, and special interest video projects. He spent many years as a one-man show, doing everything, including writing, producing, cinematography, directing and editing. His longtime goal of becoming an independent filmmaker began to take form when he started writing his first screenplay, Hate Crime, in August of 2003. By December of 2004, Hate Crime was in the can – a finished feature film with an all-star cast in which Tommy also directed and produced. Marc Sterling serves as executive producer and production accountant on all Pasidg Productions. He’s a highly accomplished businessman, speaker and teacher, who worked for the IRS and two CPA firms before his foray into filmmaking. Pasidg Productions can be contacted at: info@pasidg.com. Sedona (The Movie), starring Frances Fisher (Titanic), Seth Peterson (Burn Notice), Christopher Atkins (Blue Lagoon), Barry Corbin (Northern Exposure), Lin Shaye (Insidious), and Beth Grant (The Artist), is entering the “new world” of distribution as the first narrative feature on the “Filmmaker Direct” label created by Distribber, the first company to offer indie filmmakers access to digital retailers for a flat fee while taking no revenue share or rights. Beginning Fall 2012, the film “Sedona” became available on DVD and Blu-ray, and obtainable through On Demand on most major cable, satellite and telco content providers. Through its new partnership with Beverly Hills based Brainstorm Media, Distribber guarantees accepted films placement in at least 80% of the estimated 75 million VOD households nationwide. Consumers who buy films on Filmmaker Direct will know that 100% of profits go directly to the filmmaker, instead of the usual chain of middlemen under the traditional Hollywood distribution model. Pasidg Productions is also using Distribber to put the film on all major online VOD, digital download and SVOD outlets.
