Follow on Google News | Health Watchdog Appeals for Stafford Breast Cancer Service FeedbackStaffordshire LINk is asking patients who have been treated for breast cancer at Stafford Hospital to come forward.
By: Shepherd PR Staffordshire LINk made the appeal after a report highlighted concerns about the set-up of the breast cancer Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) at the hospital. The Greater Midlands Cancer Research Network study found problems with internal management. Now Staffordshire LINk, which monitors the views of patients across the county, is asking for feedback. Jackie Owen, manager at Staffordshire LINk, said: “Our priority is to find out how patients felt about the services they received. “Patient opinion is a critical part of assessing any service, and we make sure it contributes to bringing about changes. “We’d like to hear the experiences of anyone who has been treated for breast cancer by the MDT at Stafford Hospital – whether those experiences were good, bad or somewhere in between.” Staffordshire LINk was set up to investigate the views of patients and adult social care users across the county and to make recommendations aimed at improving services. It has statutory powers to enter providers’ premises and view how services are provided. For more information about Staffordshire LINk, visit http://www.staffordshirelink.org.uk.
