Oct. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The British Minigolf Association will be back in Hastings, East Sussex on Sunday 14th October as some of Great Britain’s top Miniature Golfers and local Hastings Crazy Golf competitors play 54-holes of Minigolf on the three seafront Miniature Golf courses in the Planet Hastings Crazy Golf Club Open.

The Planet Hastings Crazy Golf Club Open tournament is now in its twelfth year and is one of the most popular events on the British Minigolf Association Tour, with the winner receiving a highly treasured Claret Jug. There are also a wide range of prizes up for grabs for players throughout the field, for achievements such as breaking course records and hitting holes-in-one.

The price to play is £10 for three-rounds and the tee-off time will be 9.30am on Sunday 14th October at the Seafront Adventure Golf course. Players can pay for entry to the tournament on the day. Further details of the Planet Hastings Crazy Golf Club Open competition can be found at

BMGA British Number One and reigning Castle Golf World Crazy Golf Champion Michael Smith from Oxford is the current Planet Hastings Crazy Golf Club Open Champion.

The British Minigolf Association (BMGA) is the governing body for Minigolf Sport, including Crazy Golf and Adventure Golf. Formed in 1998 the BMGA organises Minigolf competitions for its members across the UK. In 2011 there were 22 Ranking BMGA Tour competitions and a total of 12 players lifted BMGA Tour titles in Open, Invitational, Club and Doubles events. On the 27th and 28th of October the Hastings Seafront Crazy Golf course will be hosting the tenth-annual Castle Golf World Crazy Golf Championships. 72 players from around the world will be competing to become World Champion and take a share of the £3,000 prize fund.
