My Paperwhite (without special offers) was supposed to come 6 days after it actually did, so that was a huge bonus to receive it right before the weekend. I started charging right away, and because Amazon had already linked my Kindle to my account, I didn't have to do too much setting up at all. I selected the language, and changed its name. I declined linking it to my FB account. I instantly had access to my already purchased and borrowed books, and so was able to get reading right away. I love its smaller, and lighter size (I'm coming from a 2nd gen Kindle). Everything is fairly intuitive, but I skimmed the manual any way. No big surprises there. The other thing I really like is the auto wake and sleep cover (bought separately) - that is so freaking cool!

The reason I'm only giving Paperwhite 4 stars though is because 1) there is some shadowing at the bottom of the screen. It's not too big of a deal, and I'll probably learn to ignore it with time, and 2) there doesn't appear to be a way to change the orientation to upside down as I could with my previous Kindle. Since I read in bed, lying down on my pillow on my side, I often used that feature depending on which side I was lying down on and used the cover to prop it up. It's a minor issue, but one feature I wish they'd kept.
