Bolouri has a diverse background in technology; however, for several years prior to GFTL, he expanded his ventures into non-technology based endeavors. One of such ventures was based on his passion for Green Energy. He assembled a team of research professors and scientists that eventually developed a proof of concept and a prototype method of production of electricity at lower cost to the traditional models. Bolouri took the idea to the United Arab Emirates where it was well received in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Kheimeh. There, he obtained a contract to build a power plant based on the technology once several upgrades version of prototype are delivered. The contract is on schedule for implementation in late 2013.
Bolouri’s other previous experiences include working with his VP of Business Development to devise a unique marketing model for attracting the mass market. These plans were shared with Orhan Onaran, son of Erol Onanarn, and implemented as test case scenario. The model turned out to be extremely successful and Erol’s Internet was born. The right to implement this model in non-competing territories was reserved, and Bolouri started an Internet company in Chicago where the same model lead to very rapid growth of US Surf net. From its offices on the 99th Floor of Sears Tower, US Surf net, attracted tens of thousands of users monthly from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and later, expanding to Tennessee, and Florida.
Bolouri pushed the technology envelope at each step making US Surf net the very first company to offer commercial DSL connectivity in 1998, and later attended to a five year contract for the government to provide DSL services to different facilities.
Bolouri was the CEO of ConnecTech, Inc. a government contractor providing hardware and software solutions to local and Federal Government. ConnecTech designed and delivered, in 1994, the fastest Intel based parallel computing single system architecture that had equivalent computing power of Cray SuperComputer at a fraction of such cost. ConnecTech expanded its market shortly thereafter into the commercial sector and migrated internationally to Zimbabwe and South Africa. There, designing and implementing the complete technology system for the very first, wholly owned Zimbabwean International Bank – First Bank – with the first bank ever to only offer smart cards in 1995. Additionally, ConnecTech managed to design and install the very first corporate grade wireless network anywhere, with long range wireless connectivity over distance of 400 Km in South Africa and Zimbabwe in 1996.
