The Black Law Students Association hosts its annual Becoming Black Barristers symposium to take students and attorneys on a journey from their first job to the pinnacle of one’s career. The symposium will take place on:

The first portion of the event will feature a panel of practicing attorneys and legal recruiters from White & Case LLP, the American Civil Liberties Union Racial Justice Program and the U.S. Navy JAG Corps and will provide resources for students and new attorneys as they begin their legal career.
The main program will take place from 6-9PM and will include workshops on networking and professionalism, and a networking reception with students, alumni and current attorneys. The centerpiece of the main program will feature a keynote address by Melvin C. Garner, partner at Leason Ellis, LLP. The symposium is free to attend and is open to all audiences.
