Oct. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- New York, NY –On Sunday September 2, Nehita Jewelry (http://nehita.net/), a globally recognized fine jewelry company with designs worn by celebrities such as Natalie Cole and Whitney Houston, sponsored the 7th Annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards at the Skirball Performing Art Center at NYU (60 Washington Square South, Manhattan, NY).  

The black-tie event attracted the upper echelon of the Nigerian entertainment industry, such as entertainment executive and artist Eldee, actor Uti Nwachukwu, event producer Tiwa Works, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) record label team (Tino Bendel, Banky W, Wiz Kid, Skales, Rotimi and XO), artist Waje, artist Davido, artist Seyi Shay, and music producer Don Jazzy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Jazzy), artist D'Prince (Don Jazzy's brother), as well as many others.  The show opened up with a performance by emerging Afro-pop artist Seyi Shay, who captivated the crowd with her voice and amazing dancing, singing two tracks from her album, Loving your way.

In addition to sponsoring the star-studded event, Nehita Fine Jewelry founder and CEO, Monalisa, was honored with the opportunity to present the Pan African Artist or Group of the Year award.  The stage at the Skirball Performing Art Center shone a little brighter as Monalisa who wore a sparkling gold dress made for her by emerging designer Martin Kadinda, presented the award to Vivian Ndour.
