"Racing for Children" Charity Drive Sponsored by Scottsdale’s Winfield Lee Investments

Real estate development company Winfield Lee Investments & Development of Scottsdale, Arizona recently joined with race car driver Pete Olson to sponsor his ‘Racing for Children' efforts for ChildFund International, in an Asia Formula Renault race weekend September 15th-16th at Zhuhai International Circuit in Zhuhai, China.

For the past several years the BELL helmets and Drift Innovation-sponsored race driver has promoted his Racing for Children program to the benefit of the ChildFund International [formerly the Christian Children’s Fund]. Through the program, ChildFund has received free media publicity distributed to more than a half million readers in various publications in the United States. Olson currently sponsors a girl from Vietnam, Trang, whom he will visit next month. “If it gets one more person to sponsor a child and change a life, it will be worth it” said Olson.

With setup issues in qualifying, Olson placed 11th on the starting grid for the first race of the weekend, in which he charged up four positions to finish 7th of 19. In race 2, Olson had made it up to the top 5 and was battling for position, when halfway through the race his car's electrical system failed

The Indy 500-aspiring driver is the only American currently competing in the prestigious 170mph Asia Formula Renault race series, and made a strong showing for ChildFund International when his Champ Motorsport Car #10 received 19% of the television coverage for the first race of the weekend, more than any other car on the grid.
