New Horizons of Southern California Named A Best Place to Work in Los Angeles and Orange County
2012 Mention Follows Nods in 2010 and 2011 by Business Journal
The Best Places to Work list is compiled by the Best Companies Group, and recognizes companies in defined geographical areas that have been successful in creating and maintaining workplace excellence. New Horizons was honored for the third straight year in Orange County, and the first time in Los Angeles.
“Winning the Best Places to Work shows that our employees are as excited about working with the company as the company is having them here. Together we have fostered an environment where we share common goals as a team, every single employee is just as important as the next, and together we will make the best training experience possible for our clients,” said Laura Noid, Director of Human Resources for New Horizons of Southern California.
One of the unique programs that garnered NHSoCal attention is its Wii Bowling Tournament for all employees. Bowlers get to play three games each during working hours. New Horizons also engages employees through philanthropic events, partnering with Working Wardrobes and The Eli Home’s East Street Community Renewal Initiative (ESCRI), among others.
