Hot Rod Handbag Line, Sink or Swim, and Koval Whiskey Distillery to Hold Retro Style Launch Party

Oct. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Sink or Swim owner, Kate Sanderson, designed and created the line of hot rod-inspired bags in her Logan Square home studio nearly a year ago. As she hand-stitched each individual bag, the label could only be found online or at Wicker Park’s rock boutique, Broken Cherry. Now, Sanderson has partnered up with a Chicago-based textile manufacturer, holding her affirmation true to produce only high-quality, locally hand-stitched products. Further, she is now able to meet the demands of Sink or Swim’s quickly growing clientele and can place her product in exclusive shops and boutiques throughout Chicago.

Exactly one year after the Sink or Swim label was created, Sanderson, will launch the best-selling, “Hero Line” to the public. Everything from messenger bags to makeup bags will be on display for attendees to see, touch and try on. All products from this line are appropriately named after various neighborhoods throughout Chicago, signifying that all products are Chicago-born.

The launch party is open to the public and will take place at the Drinking Bird at 2201 N. Clybourn Ave. on October 18, 2012 at 8:00 pm. It will be sponsored by Andersonville-based, Koval Boutique Whiskey Distillery, offering specialty cocktails throughout the night to compliment the funky and soulful sounds the DJ spins up.
