Follow on Google News | Lowcountry Women Provided Much Needed MammogramsThanks to a grant from the Lowcountry affiliate of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the Barrier Island Free Medical clinic will provide free mammograms. Dr. Jenn Beatty of The Breast Place is a volunteer physician with this medical clinic.

Dr. Jenn Beatty of The Breast Place is a volunteer physician with this medical clinic, and helps to care for these women by reviewing abnormal breast reports and recommending a plan of care. She states, “ Because of this grant, the clinic can provide the comprehensive care a woman facing a breast health issue needs. This grant will help us to serve around 200 local women that may otherwise not have been treated.” States Wanda Lefler-Weart of the Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic, “The staff at the Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic is excited about this grant and we are most appreciative of Dr. Beatty’s contributions to women and their families.
