Oct. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Masters Conference for Legal Professionals, an advanced legal educational experience today announced that the Georgetown University Center for Continuing and Professional Education (“Georgetown CCPE”) along with Women in eDiscovery will come together to present “Advancement of Women within the Legal Community” on the third day of the conference, Wednesday, October 10, 2012.  The Masters Conference takes place in Washington, D.C. on October 8-10, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt.

Georgetown CCPE’s Institute for Transformational Leadership, an international center for inquiry, research and education about the nature and requirements of leadership in the 21st century, will provide the speaker, Nancy Lamberton, an executive coach and leadership development trainer with 20 years of experience as an executive in technology.  Ms. Lamberton will lead a 90 minute interactive session on "Leadership Presence: Having Your Voice Heard and Valued."  This program will help attendees discover why leadership presence is critical to success and how many underestimate its importance in being recognized for their expertise and considered for advancement.  Take away practical tips will include how to inspire confidence and have their voice heard at the table.  This session will be an opportunity to learn about enhancing personal and authentic leadership presence in the workplace and in life.

Ms. Lamberton is deeply committed to advancing women in leadership roles and the technology industry. Inspired by mentoring professional women and many rising leaders over the years, she created the Accelerated Mentoring Program in collaboration with Nebo Company founder, Kate Ebner.  Ms. Lamberton has led government divisions of Fortune 500 companies and is a seasoned entrepreneur. She is also President of Women In Technology, where she served as Chair of the Mentor Protégé program for two years and as a mentor to other professional women for the past ten years.  Ms. Lamberton was co-founder of Excitations, an e-commerce start-up, which provides life experiences as gifts and rewards. Prior to Excitations, she was President of Avaya’s government division for the U.S. and Europe, Vice President of Alliances at SAP, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lucent Technologies’ Government Solutions business unit. Ms. Lamberton began her career at AT&T, progressing through a number of sales, marketing and operations positions.  Ms. Lamberton holds a MBA from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. She is a graduate of the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Program.

The theme of the Masters Conference is Information Convergence: Creating Synergy Between Compliance, Discovery and Security. Experts will explore and share what leading corporations and law firms are doing today to remain compliant to government regulations. Sessions will cover the complexities and risks of information security and offer methodologies of protection and proper protocol. The conference will feature thought-leader discussions on what the future holds for discovery and will also offer management strategies that will focus on information convergence, technology and integration, financial planning, and adherence to the FRCP.
