Oct. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The app now allows users to check that their salaries are above the new national minimum wage, whilst also breaking down pay into useful figures like income tax, national insurances and student loan repayments.

Whilst the Coalition Government announced in March that the national minimum wage was to be frozen for younger workers, the minimum wage for employees aged 21 and above increases to £6.19 per hour.

Chris Bell, creator of MySalaryCalculator.co.uk, expects the tool will be most useful to those who are currently unsure what their hourly rate is.  “It is relatively simple to find out what the new minimum wage is, but if you don't know what your own hourly rate is, it makes the process more difficult.”

“The app does all of the leg work for you. It just needs to know what you get paid, and how often – it will work out the rest from there.”

The app is available to download from Google Play for free. MySalaryCalculator.co.uk also expects to release an updated version of it's iPhone app in the coming week, which will include similar features. For more information please visit http://www.mysalarycalculator.co.uk.
