Alexander George, Chairman of Polk County Libertarian Party, Endorses Todd Long for U.S. Congress

Davenport, Florida – Alexander George, Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Polk County, formally endorsed Todd Long for U.S. Congress earlier today. Long is running for Florida’s 9th district seat.

“I’d like to make it clear that this is my personal endorsement, and not an endorsement from my party” said George. He went on to say that “returning former Congressman Grayson to Washington would be a disaster. Alan Grayson is a dishonest, useless, and unstable man with only one agenda; the advancement of Alan Grayson. In contrast, Mr. Long is a man of honor. While I do not agree with his positions across the board, I feel that Mr. Long will fight for tax reform. He is against corporate bailouts, and feels that Washington has too much power”.  

Mr. George pointed to former Congressman Grayson’s one term in Washington (2009-2011). He went on to elaborate that Grayson’s behavior, in public and on the House Floor, was “ridiculous and sad. Alan believes that any press is good press. He’d do anything to get on a talk show”. Yesterday evening, Mr. George posted an article about the race on his blog.
