Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- The intriguing novel The Early Years tells the life story of John, who leaves post-World War II Berlin at 6 years of age to live in England.

His life follows an aimless pattern because of those “early years.” Education eludes him. When he is nearly 18, he runs away from what purports to be home. As an adult, relationships come and go. John does quite well in work, but not so in his personal life. Depression comes and goes, but the ultimate support comes from a surprising source in his later years.

The book conveys three stages of John’s life. The one truth he does recognize, eventually, is that his first six years bear heavily on what followed. Our earliest memories can never be erased, no matter what path we take.
