Clever Creativity wins 2012 Product of the Year Award for Elephants on the Wall

Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Elephants on the Wall was recently awarded the 2012 Product of the year for their unique Paint-by-Number chalkboard murals. They were the creation of Southern California award-winning designer, Patti Newton. But Patti is more than an entrepreneur, she is the keeper of whimsy and delight for children’s wall murals. She is always trying to stay ahead of the trends and pushing the envelope with her designs and that’s when Creative Child caught up with her.  They were especially impressed with the paint-by-number chalkboard murals. They were especially impressed with the “Blast Off!” mural shaped as a rocket, the “What? Where? Whoo?” mural that features several cute and colorful owls perched a frame made of twigs and branches, and the “Knightly Knotes” mural which looks like the window of a castle surrounded by arched stone blocks and a couple of medieval scones – oh, and a cute little mouse on the windowsill.

As a former designer for Walt Disney Imagineering designing themed graphics and signage, she wanted to help everyday moms, dads, school teachers and her other customers embrace their creative side and bring a bit of whimsical theming into their homes and day care centers.

Elephants on the Wall is constantly getting unsolicited testimonials like “I can’t believe I did this myself! It was so fun and easy - it’s absolutely dummy-proof!” and “My friends thought I had a professional paint it!”.

Elephants on the Wall customers have so much fun doing these because they are not only easy, but it’s one DIY project that always turns out great. About one fourth of their customers are repeat customers.

Even in the first year of the recession Elephants on the Wall doubled their sales because it’s a perfect DIY project. The paint-by-number murals are reusable, reversible, and can be repeated in whole or in part so the customer can really get the biggest bang for their buck.  And the customer can even change the colors to match their décor perfectly.

Elephants on the Wall has over 40 themes and 215 designs from which to choose. The prices range from $19.95 for the smaller murals to $129.95 for an 18 foot wide x 7 feet six inches tall.
