Beading Workshop at Pueblo Grande Museum

Two class workshop on the history of Native Peoples and beading, resulting in the creation of a unique drawstring pouch.
Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Join artist Melanie Sainz, of the Ho Chunk Nation, as she presents her workshop on beading on October 16th and October 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Pueblo Grande Museum.  This course will provide students, ages 14 and older, with an understanding of adornment and cultural items of Native Peoples and the history of beads and porcupine quills.  Ms. Sainz will instruct students how to blend old and new methods for applying beads and quills and apply their skills in the creation of a unique drawstring pouch.

Hours: Monday – Saturday 9am to 4:45pm, Sunday 1pm to 4:45pm,
CLOSED Sunday and Monday May through September and most major holidays

Admission: Adults $6, Seniors (55+) $5, Children (6-17) $3, under 6 are Free and Children 17 and under are free on Sundays.
