Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Fort Myers, Florida –  Celebrating its 10th anniversary as a dance studio and social dance club, 1st Danz is inviting the public to five nights of dance parties and lessons by national and international stars to celebrate the grand opening of its new and larger location on McGregor Boulevard.

The grand opening events begin Wednesday October 10th and run through Sunday October 14th at the new studio, located in the Bridge Plaza at 12901 McGregor Blvd. #10, just west of College Parkway across from The Landings.

Award-winning dancer Cindy-Lee Overton started 1st Danz 10 years ago after conquering breast cancer. She struggled to keep the studio open during the recent recession, relying on creative marketing, themed dance parties and certified instructors to attract new students. Those efforts were so successful that 1st Danz outgrew its previous studio near Metro Drive and Daniels Boulevard and will move this week to its new home.

“Our instructors and students are very excited about our new location and the opportunity we have to bring in some fabulous, award-winning dancers to help us celebrate our grand opening,” Overton said. “We want the entire community to come dance with us and have a wonderful time.”

The grand opening events will feature a different dance lesson each night, followed by themed dance parties. A charge of $15 per night includes the lesson from 7 to 8 p.m., dance party from 8 to 11 p.m., and food from local restaurants. Guests also can pay $75 for all five nights of lessons and parties, plus a student showcase on Sunday afternoon.
