The German American Smart Buildings Symposium 2012

The German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. invites you to attend this full-day event free of charge based on the sponsorship of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
 
Oct. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- At the Symposium, you will meet experts from both the German and American buildings industries.  You will not only learn of the exciting changes that are coming in the market, but you will also have the opportunity to discuss your ideas and plans directly with our speakers.  
The event will feature a Luncheon Keynote Presentation by Alan Greenberger, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Director of Commerce for the City of Philadelphia.

We are also pleased to welcome Katherine Gajewski, Director of the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Sustainability to speak on behalf of the city’s sustainable building initiatives.  Ms. Gajewski has served in this position since 2009 and has a history of working toward sustainability.  As Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff in the Mayor’s Office in 2008, she managed the Philly Spring Cleanup, which in its first year, was recognized as the largest citywide clean-up in US history.  The Mayor’s Office of Sustainability oversees a number of program areas in addition to Green Buildings, including the Solar City Partnership, Local Food, and Energy Works.

•   Dr. Frank Heinlein of the German Sustainable Building Council
•   Laurie Actman of the Energy Efficient Buildings Hub
•   Oliver Baumann of Ebert & Baumann Consulting Engineers, Inc.
•   Brad Molotsky of Brandywine Realty Trust
•   Chad Ludeman of Postgreen Homes

You will also meet representatives of innovative German efficient building companies, including GEEBS, INTEP GmbH, RAICO GmbH, BAERO, BATIMET GmbH, and WILO SE.
