New Online Magazine And Website Designed To Build Stronger Families

The much awaited and anticipated release of an online magazine which aims to provide adequate resources; resources that may have been otherwise hard to reach is now available online.

Sept. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA- Publisher and Founder of the Los Angeles Black Parent Magazine, Michelle Shannon, has launched the online magazine along with a new interactive website.

The Los Angeles Black Parent Magazine is a quarterly magazine that informs parents of all of the hidden opportunities in the Los Angeles community, regarding parenting, activities for children, etc. The main concern of the founder and publisher of the Los Angeles Black Parent Magazine is that there is a gap in the community when it comes to providing parents of the beneficial businesses and educational opportunities that could help children thrive in their futures, as well as information that could come in handy for parents, themselves. The magazine aims to provide adequate resources; resources that may have been otherwise hard to reach.

The current issue introduces readers to business owners, authors, singers, comedians and more. Readers will find out what’s going on in their community as well as meet some of the many people in their community that are accomplishing great things. Los Angeles Black Parent Magazine is a magazine dedicated to bringing together the community and valuable information. “There are so many free events in our community that would significantly benefit our children and they are not being taken advantage of,” said Publisher, Michelle Shannon. Shannon also stated she is tired of reading magazines hoping to find out what’s going on in her community and constantly finding the same information. She would like to know about things like the recent back to school health fair where several parents in the community had children under the age of 12 who were diagnosed with diabetes and she is sure others would also like to know about this information as well. “In the Los Angeles Black Parent Magazine you don’t have to be a celebrity, very well known or a reality TV star in order to be in our spotlight. We want to know what’s really going on and who’s in the community and how you may be able to help us build stronger families,” said Michelle Shannon.

The website launched along with the online digital magazine. The website, http://lablackparentmagazineonline.info, spotlights businesses, has a directory and it also spotlights women business owners in the spotlight on women in business page. The directory listing page allows readers to go directly to the page and find a business or service they are looking for in their area. The things to do page will introduce readers to the many available things to do in the community. There is also a Facebook fan page, https://www.facebook.com/LABlackParentMagazine, which provides information on community events, free camps or events for children and much more.
