Since its debut in 2007, families have chosen the 8-passenger Acadia to handle their day-to-day transport needs, and the new model promises to be just as capable as previous models. The 2013 Acadia is powered by 3.6L V6 engine that produces 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, and will also come with a six-speed automatic transmission with enhanced shifting response and the choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Maintaining its classic styling cues, a distinctive three-bar grille accents the improved front end design. To improve visibility for the driver, the rear glass now curves around the back end of the vehicle. LED running lights will also be standard, and will complement a stylish update to the taillights.

An interior makeover is what smart buyers will notice immediately. The ambient cabin light creates a red glow and there are plenty of soft-touch materials on the dashboard and doors; aluminum accents add a new level of sophisticated for the upper trims. Carrying over from the last generation is the sliding second-row seats, which make for easy access to the third row. When the two rear rows of seats are folded flat, owners have a sizable 117 cubic feet of cargo capacity to work with.
The improved center stack houses a multimedia touchscreen display, and the available IntelliLink infotainment system provides Bluetooth wireless, Pandora streaming capabilities, smartphone integration, and voice command control. Owners can also opt for a navigation system with touch-recognition functions.
