Oct. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Dial800 CEO Scott Richards has been named the Chairman of the Radio Council for the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA). The council's mandate is to promote direct response radio advertising as a vital component of a marketer's integrated marketing communications plan. Richards was selected at the non-profit trade association's annual gathering, the D2C Convention, at the Wynn Las Vegas earlier this month.

"While television and online advertising tend to get the lion's share of the spotlight, radio remains an incredibly targeted and affordable way for direct marketers to reach prospects," Richards commented. "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with my ERA colleagues to elevate awareness about the incredible effectiveness of direct response radio."

Richards takes the helm from Natalie Hale, Co-founder and President of Media Partners Worldwide, an agency that specializes in direct response radio advertising.  Hale remarked, "Scott has been an active and passionate participant on the ERA Radio Council for many years, and I am confident that in passing the leadership baton to him that we can continue to elevate our advocacy for this powerful genre of direct response advertising."
