A-1 Self Storage Proudly Supports the National Ataxia Foundation!

Sept. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA – A-1 Self Storage, the premier provider of self storage in California, announced today their monetary donation to help support the National Ataxia Foundation's “2012 Walk n’ Roll”  event to be held this coming Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Tuna Harbor Park (next to the Midway Museum) in San Diego, CA.

This annual event is organized by Charley McLaughlin, who himself is affected by Ataxia. He started this event over 6 years ago to help raise funds for Ataxia awareness and research. Ataxia is a brain disease that results in the lack of muscle coordination and wobbliness. Individuals afflicted with this disease experience speech impairment, difficulty in swallowing and unsteadiness.

The National Ataxia Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of persons affected by Ataxia through support, education, and research. NAF is a membership supported, nonprofit organization established in 1957 to help persons with Ataxia and their families. The Foundation's primary purpose is to support promising ataxia research and to provide vital programs and services for Ataxia families.
