Ray Suzuki Has the First Look at the 2013 SX4
Suzuki aims to conquer the compact crossover market with a powerful and versatile new SX4.
By: Ray Suzuki
The AWD Crossover SX4
For 2013 the SX4 Crossover is still slated to be the most affordable AWD option on the market, delivering a 3-mode intelligent all-wheel drive system (i-AWD) across their 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, which will be capable of 150 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque — at under $20,000. While drivers have fallen in love with the Crossover’s extra displacement and enhanced performance capabilities, for 2013 the Crossover gets a stylish new look with an upgraded front fascia. Designed by ItalDesign, the SX4 crossover begins to leave its Japanese styling behind for a distinctly European look.
The SX4 Sport
For many, a compact SUV is a little much, which is where the 2013 SX4 Sport sedan comes in, with its smaller body but still powerful 2.0L DOHC inline-4. For 2013, the Sport has been given aerodynamic upgrades to the body design along with new 17-inch wheels and an improved suspension system.
The SX4 Sportback
Adding a fifth door to the Sport model, the Sportback offers a convenient compromise between the Crossover and Sport in the form of a compact hatchback. While maintaining the same 2.0L powertrain as its siblings, the 2013 model Sportback is set to feature a redesigned front fascia.
All three models of the SX4 are scheduled to feature significant interior enhancements, with new top-quality seat fabrics along with the option for an in-console navigation / infotainment system on all models.
While it’s not yet clear when the new 2013 models will be arriving in showrooms, drivers near Fox Lake, IL interested in taking home a new 2013 SX4 can contact the sales department at Ray Suzuki for more information.
