Northwestern Mutual Supporting Student Entrepreneurs

Northwestern Mutual has been supporting entrepreneurship including the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization(CEO) for over a decade. Their efforts include speaking at the National CEO conference to student entrepreneurs.
 
Sept. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Northwestern mutual is known as a Milwaukee based financial services company, but their impact spans far beyond their many services.  The company is a supporter of entrepreneurship and a sponsor of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization(CEO), a non-profit that supports college entrepreneurs who are pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.  At the 2012 CEO National Conference in Chicago, Northwestern Mutual will be sending experienced representatives to speak to students about leadership and career choices.  

Northwestern Mutual has been sponsoring CEO for more than a decade.  Dr. Gerald Hills, Director and co-founder of CEO is appreciative of Northwestern Mutual and Michael Van Grinsven, Director of Field Recruitment, for their generous support.  “Northwestern Mutual is an outstanding company that creates entrepreneurs through its independent agents.  Many of our CEO students are a potential match with Northwestern Mutual’s entrepreneurial culture.”

Erika Jacobi and Annette Fischer will be speaking on “Conducting an Effective Career Search” and “Navigating Your Leadership Path” respectively.  Jacobi is a program consultant at Northwestern Mutual and has lead different project and program initiatives that impact the growth of the company within Leadership Development, Recruiting and Retention and College Marketing. Annette Fischer is, a program manager, manages multiple leadership development programs designed to build and enhance critical leadership skills. Additionally, Annette manages key projects impacting the company’s recruiting initiatives and the nationally recognized internship program.

Northwestern Mutual representatives have been giving back on a local level to entrepreneurs as well.  Financial reps and other representatives have spoken at college campuses across the nation to share their experience with students who are interested in starting their own business.

CEO has been helping students start their own businesses and realize their entrepreneurial dreams since the early 1980's.  CEO now operates through 245 chapters in 43 states.
