Sheila Raye Charles coaches Japanese Chorus Group in NYC
Acoustic Jazz And Christian Artist ,Sheila Raye Charles, Daughter Of Soul And Country Legend, Ray Charles, To Coach Tokyo Funky 5 Japanese Chorus Group Who Will Perform With Her At A High-Level Jazz Club In Flatiron Neighborhood Of NYC.
As special treat, Sheila Raye will be vocally supported by the Tokyo Funky5 Women from Japan.
Founded in Tokyo, Japan in June 2008 and headed by Kiyomi Sing who teaches music in Japan, the Tokyo Funky 5 is a Japanese Chorus Group that spans the musical genres of funk, soul and disco music. This group of talented artist’s will bring tight harmonies with rich soul to her music.
The group, generally women, who have an interest in or who are already performing in the musical arts, travel to New York City to be coached by Sheila Raye Charles who provides an interactive learning opportunity specific to the individuals on subjects such as;
Preparing mentally for performances,
Exercises in Lyrical writing skills and,
Preserving the artists’ vocal chords during extended performances.
She also provides tips on vocalization, breathing, daily rituals, etc.
Sheila Raye’s feels honored, blessed and highly favored to be returning for a third time coaching this group of Japanese artists and she exudes excellence in the delivery of customization to each class attendee during the sessions.
The Metropolitan Room is located in the Flatiron Neighborhood of Manhattan. The Met Room has been the backdrop to legends such as Tammy Grimes, Julie Wilson and Annie Ross and has established itself as the essential venue for high-level Jazz and voted BEST Jazz club in NYC.
