Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Tyler State Park-Richboro, PA – More than 115 artists, sculptors and fine craftsmen with items for sale and demonstration, local musicians, hoop dancers,  free family art activities, food and more are highlighted at the upcoming "Crafts in the Meadow" Fall Juried Invitational Craft Show at Tyler Park Center for the Arts, Tyler State Park, at the historic Victorian barn (former headquarters of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen), 10 Stable Mill Trail, Richboro, PA, Saturday, October 20, 10am to 5pm, and Sunday October 22, 10am to 5pm. Adult admission is $6.00, children under 12 are free. Crafts in the Meadow carries on the 22 year tradition of Arts in the Park.

"We're delighted to once again provide two fun-filled days of family festivities, including fine arts and crafts exhibitors, live entertainment, interactive family arts activities, demonstrations, local vendors, and delicious foods," said Tyler Park Center for the Arts Director Jennifer Miller. Ms. Miller is a talented ceramic artist and instructor known for many years as the owner and head instructor of Earth Center Pottery and Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen Juried Member.

"Crafts in the Meadow" features over 115 fine craftsmen and their exceptional creations with a newly added “Sculptors Row” this year.  Special guest sculptors will present “Inspiration and Technique” talks throughout the two-day show.



Other exciting offerings include Fine Art by Keith Mountford, Crystalline Pottery by Paul Lorber, Jewelry by Diana Contine, and Wood Turning by Bernard Hohfield.  Also featured are Blacksmith Thomas Turtso, and Wood Turner Michael Kehs.



Potter Gloria Kosko will present a Workshop Instructors demonstration booth with information about TPCA's kids and adult art workshops and summer camps.

The Crafts in the Meadow Interactive Family Art area features free "Create a Scarecrow" Craft Projects for children while Mom and Dad create their own dyed silk scarves.  Multimedia collage projects will be available for all ages.

Exceptional live music continues to be an integral part of the creative atmosphere at  Tyler Park Center for the Arts.  This year’s Crafts in the Meadow headline performers include “Lily Mae”, Greg Merkel and JB Kline, among others.  According to TPCA Executive Director Jennifer Miller, “Don’t be surprised to catch hoop dancers floating through the music area – be sure to join them to try out this new twist on an old pastime!”

Local non-profit organizations will be on hand meeting and greeting the public including A Womans Place, Angel Walk, Norwester Readers Canine Program with Friendly Therapy Dogs who help children learn to read, and Autism Cares.
