An award-winning writer, director and producer in independent film, theater, television and new media, Former ICM Agent Jim Jermanok has spoken to dozens of audiences worldwide at colleges and universities, film festivals, theaters, and media/arts organizations on the 25 years of wisdom he's acquired about succeeding in the world of entertainment.

In 2003, a full-length feature romantic comedy he wrote and produced, "PASSIONADA," was released by The Samuel Goldwyn Company domestically and by Columbia Tri-Star internationally in over 150 countries. He was very fortunate to receive high praise from a number of prominent film critics, including "Two Thumbs Up!" from Ebert and Roper. Recently, Jim produced "EM," an intense romantic drama that had its world premiere at the Seattle Intl. Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film from among the more than 200 entries. It had a worldwide release late last year by Vanguard Cinema and SnagFilms.

Using his real-life experiences and those of many other prominent producers/financiers he knows in the film business, Jim Jermanok will cover:

Jim Jermanok draws from a unique and unprecedented vantage point: his current experience as an active and award-winning feature film producer, director, and writer and from his prior professional background as an agent at once America’s biggest talent agency, International Creative Management. While at ICM, Jim was privy to understanding how film financiers and producers succeeded. He studied what qualities they had in common in contrast to the majority of those who fail to make a film happen. At ICM, Jim helped to represent and nurture the careers of: Alan Arkin, John Chancellor, E.L. Doctorow, Lou Gossett Jr., Helen Hayes, Sir Ben Kingsley, Burt Lancaster, Shirley MacLaine, Arthur Miller, Dudley Moore, Harry Reasoner, Andy Rooney, and Henry Winkler, among others--many of whom will be quoted in the workshop.

Following ICM, Jim worked as an Entertainment Consultant to numerous production companies, producers, hedge funds, and investors and developed a unique and genuinely inspiring approach to succeeding in the film businesses.
