Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Leading Microsoft Dynamics CRM partner, Preact recommends that marketing teams integrate dotMailer with Microsoft Dynamics CRM to increase the value of their email campaigns.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM includes a marketing module that enables new campaigns to be planned and executed. However, the standard CRM email merge functions don't include reporting to confirm how many messages are delivered and who opened them.

dotMailer integrates with many applications including Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track each email campaign open, click and forwarded message and report this data in CRM.

Warren Butler, Preact’s Marketing Director says, “Microsoft Dynamics CRM has the functions to send email newsletters and other campaign messages but it doesn’t provide marketing teams with any detail to reveal who opened these emails and what content interested them.”

“What makes dotMailer so beneficial to Dynamics CRM users is that email data isn’t just tracked but it’s also fed back to each CRM campaign and contact record. Looking beyond the campaign open and click percentage statistics, marketers can easily identify hot prospects and plan follow up message. For example, if a contact has repeatedly opened the latest newsletter and clicked several links about a new product launch they’ll be a great candidate to add to a telemarketing campaign, or to send a personalised follow-up email.”

Even if recipients haven’t responded to the initial message dotMailer still helps to extract value from the campaign continues Butler.

“After each email campaign there’s usually a group of contacts who haven’t opened your message. That might be because they’re on holiday, or they just missed your message so it’s worthwhile sending a copy in a week or two. Because this data is reported back to CRM these groups can be quickly identified using standard Microsoft Dynamics search terms to create a new targeted marketing list.”

Butler says there are other compelling benefits gained by connecting Microsoft Dynamics CRM with dotMailer.

“dotMailer includes a superb email editor with drag and drop functions so you don’t need to be an HTML expert to create templates that are more professional looking than the native Dynamics CRM application enables. Also, with qpgfh options for split testing messages and applying CRM data to personalise the email subject titles, sender names and message content dotMailer very quickly helps marketers increase campaign responses.”

dotMailer is used by over 15,000 UK users and sends over 100 million emails every month. The platform integrates with the on-premise and cloud editions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
