Hampton Construction Chosen to Build Aurora Cooperative New Corporate Office
Hampton Construction announced today that they have been chosen to build Aurora Cooperative’s new corporate office complex in Aurora, Nebraska.
Established in 1908, The Aurora Cooperative, one of the nation's biggest agricultural co-ops, is a multi-purpose agricultural cooperative providing service and expertise in grain, agronomy, feed and energy.
According to Bob Caldwell, President and CEO of Hampton Construction, the project will consist of a 42,000 square foot, modified two-story building at the Leadership Center Campus in Aurora. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2013.
“Hampton Construction is honored to have been chosen for this project. The Aurora Cooperative is an important organization to the region’s agriculture economy with more than 650 employees serving numerous farming communities throughout the United States,” Caldwell said.
“With their continued strong growth - from a $100 million company to a billion dollar company in the last 10 years – the Aurora Cooperative has outgrown their existing office,” he said.
In addition, the new Aurora Cooperative office complex will serve as an innovative venue for Nebraska youth, hosting workshops, contests, and hands-on business activities for all young leaders visiting the campus.
“We look forward to gathering all corporate functions into a building that is uniquely designed and built for our needs by Hampton Construction. Our farmer-owners will enjoy conducting their business activities at this site when completed,” said George Hohwieler, Aurora Cooperative President and CEO.
