Sept. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Twenty years after "The Kissing Game" and just five years after the tragic death of their lead singer Tony Thompson, Hi-Five is back with a hot lead single for their upcoming album.

Even if you weren’t old enough to play the “Kissing Game,” chances are you’ve heard Hi-Five’s single of the same name on any number of urban, R&B stations around the world. The Kissing Game and many other  Hi-Five hits are still in rotation today years later. Hi-Five debuted on Jive in 1990 with their self-titled hit album, which spawned singles like “Just Can’t Handle It”, “Unconditional Love” and their biggest single, “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)” which hit #1 on both the pop and R&B charts.


Today, most of the original group members are reuniting and preparing to release a new album. The tragic loss of talented lead Singer Tony Thompson in 2007, made a reunion unlikely, but after much contemplation the group decided the best way to honor Tony would be to keep the Hi-Five legacy alive with their fans. “We are coming together again for our fans.” group member Treston Irby told AllHipHop.com. “All true R&B fans will love the new Hi-Five”.
