A Star Among Us: A Local Teen Shines in Recent Pageant

Wilberforce, OH - Grace Nikhila Palaparty, of Fairfield, OH, daughter of Snigdha and Eugene Palaparty, was crowned winner of “2012 Miss Jr. Teen Cincinnati” this past Sunday, September 16.
 
Sept. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- The 2012 Miss Teen Cincinnati Pageant is pageantry with a very inimitable purpose: to provide a nurturing environment for young women to develop confidence, meet new friends, persue great challenges and enjoy a fun and formal modeling stage experience. Ms. Palaparty competed alongside 150 young ladies from the greater Cincinnati region in four competitions, each expressing her most unique attributes, talent and charm. This manifests her unprecedented diligence towards success.

Thirteen-year-old Ms. Palaparty is a freshman at Fairfield High School. A straight “A” honor roll student and a National Junior Honor Society member. Grace attended the Southwest District Science & Engineering Expo when she received a cash award sponsored by a local pharmaceutical company. Consequently, Grace competed at Ohio State Science fair where her project was commended outstanding in Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical field.
Ms. Palaparty has been selected as a National semifinalist in the 2012 Broadcom MASTERS, a program of Society for Science & the Public. This honor places her among a select group of 300 semifinalists named from more than 6,000 nominees throughout the United States.   She is an avid science student because it encourages her to challenge limits rather than be challenged by limits. Grace strives to seize the day by positively impacting the society through community service. Her passion for public speaking vividly allowed to intern as a guest host at Cincinnati based radio station, WMKV 89.3 FM. Correspondingly, her voiceover was used in the “World in a minute” Global diversity program. She is a Young Adult Board contributor at the Midpoint Library branches.  Ms. Palaparty enjoys playing piano, violin, clarinet, and harmonica as a former Band and present Orchestra student. She plays music because it enables her to be creative and to expand her thought process. Grace plays Tennis and is a scholar athlete stellar recipient. Her interests include theatre, calligraphy, photography, and writing articles.
Grace says, “When the day is at its bleakest darkest point, the stars will shine their brightest and guide everyone through the night. Like the stars you ought to endeavor to radiate and lead the way with your best ability.”
Ms. Palaparty has won an expense-paid trip to the 2013 National Pageant to be held in Orlando, Florida where she will compete for $40,000 in cash scholarships, among many other prizes to be awarded. Congratulations and good luck, Miss Grace N Palaparty!
