Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- San Francisco author and resident, Paul Collis, has published 'The Scottish Movie', a 350-page novel that features Shakespeare, Macbeth, theft, revenge — and Hollywood.

The first part of the novel describes how a somber Shakespeare, desperate for a play that will please the unpredictable King, steals the idea for Macbeth from a young, unknown actor. The actor, with no access to the law, decides to sabotage the production.
The next part of the book reveals that this Shakespearean tale is actually the first two chapters of a historical novel written by a struggling young writer in modern Los Angeles. And when the writer discovers that his novel is being turned into a movie by a major Hollywood studio, he reacts in the same way as his fictional hero; he takes the law into his own hands. Mayhem ensues, until a final battle of wits provides an unpredictable outcome.

It was written by Paul Collis, a Londoner now living in California.
