-- Einztein is a social learning network that aims at bringing the power of social networking to higher education and lifelong learners by enabling anyone to create an online learning community for resource sharing, collaboration and discussion. Einztein enables teachers to easily turn courses into social learning experiences. On Einztein, students can form online study groups to research and learn together. Institutions can engage learners around their educational content using Einztein.
LAGbook has introduced a third party application it calls the "Social Learning" app, that allows its over 370,000 registered users to engage in the evolving world of social learning network on Einztein right on LAGbook. This app can be found under the "APPS" column at the left corner of most pages on LAGbook.
"LAGbook is a social discovery network targeted at the youth demographic (18-30), and over 40% of our users are within the ages 18-24. This is the same age range of people who attend higher educational institutions, and Einztein would be a good addition to their social experience on LAGbook." says Chika Nwaogu, CEO and President at LAGbook.
Chika continued, "Our objective at LAGbook is to expand the social experience of our users, and that isn't limited to media sharing, chatting, and status updating. We want to extend it. We want to expand the social learning experience of our users. Our registered members will be able to access Einztein directly on LAGbook, signup, login, and create online learning communities."
"Bringing Einztein to LAGbook is a wonderful addition. Social learning is a very important aspect of social discovery. We're a social discovery network, and that includes social learning. This will make LAGbook relevant, not only to people who want to make new friends, or people looking for a date, but to teachers, students, and higher educational institutions."
, said Chidi Nwaogu, Co-founder of LAGbook.
"LAGbook was created initially as an exclusive social network for students of the University of Lagos. This means our objective on inception was social learning. It's only fair, we include it in our social discovery objectives, and Einztein is a good way to go about it.", says Emmanuel Alugo, LAGbook's VP for Technology.
LAGbook is Africa's largest and fastest growing social networking website with over 370,000 registered users and 4,000 daily signups. LAGbook is most popular in the cities of Yaba in Lagos-Nigeria (where it was incepted and ranks #2), Hirtshals and Sindal in Denmark (where it is ranked #37 and #32 respectively)
, and Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong (where it is ranked #27).
