There will be a range of jobs on offer in a variety of sectors including medical devices, IT, healthcare and financial services to name a few and we are encouraging all job-seekers to come along to this event to see what’s on offer and also to take the opportunity to access information on a diverse range of free training courses available locally through our networks.
We offer training in technical skills, customer service skills, information technology, health and safety, communications skills, sales and marketing, social media, planning and strategy and finance. We also run a very successful Job-seekers Support Programme (JSSP) which combines work placement with free training. As part of this we offer a range of conversion programmes to help job-seekers acquire a qualification in a different discipline and potentially move into the growth sectors with jobs. In 2011 over 50% of participants confirmed that the programme had helped them to re-enter employment or helped them develop skills in setting up their own business.”
The Skillnets Jobs Fair takes place Sunday, 14th October 2012 from 10am until 5.30pm.

Established in 1999, Skillnets has a unique ethos and approach to the delivery of enterprise-led training and upskilling programmes for industry.
The Training Networks Programme (TNP) funds enterprise-led training through a network model, where companies from networks representing specific industry sectors or geographical regions co-operate to deliver training programmes appropriate to current market requirements.
The Finuas Networks Programme (Finuas) is dedicated to supporting the international financial services (IFS) sector through investment in the specialist skills and expertise of its workforce. The main areas of training are in banking/asset financing, corporate treasury, investment management, securitisation, reinsurance and related professional services.
Skillnets networks are also providing training to job-seekers, who are training with those in employment. By training with those in employment, job-seekers can access networking opportunities and keep up to date with their sector while participating in relevant industry-specific training programmes.
