Access4artists Announces September Contests For Independent Artists
Unsigned artists compete for career-launching prizes. Access4Artists announced two contests during the month of September, each awarding an up-and-coming artist with a career-benefiting prize.
Access4Artists, the newest online talent discovery platform, provides artists a free online space to promote their work and connect with their fans to earn the chance to get in front of high-profile industry leaders that could potentially launch their career. Entering the monthly contest is a great way to gain the exposure that every unsigned artist craves.
Short Film Contest:
Access4Artists members can submit a 2-10 minute short film for the chance to have lunch with Hollywood producer, Jeanette Jolley, who has worked with Disney and the National Football League. The second place winner will receive a director’s interview and their short film will be featured on the a4a blog.
Members can enter the contest through Sept. 23, while fans will vote to determine the top five short films by Sept. 30. Access4Artists and Jolley will confer to select both the first and second place winners on October 4.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Contest:
Access4Artists members are encouraged to submit their best video performance for a chance to perform at the Urban Music Showcase being held in January 2013 in Nashville, Tenn. Artists must submit their video by Sept. 23 with fan voting taking place through Sept. 30.
The three artists with the most votes will be finalists in the contest. On Oct. 4, ASCAP Urban Music Judges and Access4Artists will collaborate to select the first and second place winners.
Access4Artists and ASCAP will award the first place winner a trip to Nashville, Tennessee with hotel and airfare provided, where they will perform at the ASCAP Urban Music Showcase.
The second place winner will receive an ASCAP membership, in addition to an interview that will be published on the Access4Artists blog.
