MUIPR & DJ Universe Brought Cutting-Edge Fashion to New York Fashion Week

Sept. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY—On Saturday September 8th, MUI-The PR Company (MUIPR) and its leading entertainment client, DJ Universe, produced an invite-only event during the famous New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for the Kingdom Come collection from Pan-African fashion house, 54 Kingdoms. The fashion event, held at the Thompson Smyth Hotel (85 W Broadway, Tribeca NY) featured glamorous lifestyle creations for the quintessential man and woman.

The highly attended event began with a press conference, providing members of the press with a unique opportunity to learn more about the history, vision and aesthetic of the Kingdom Come 2012 collection. Following the press conference was an exclusive opportunity to be photographed on the red carpet.  Attended by over 300 people, the presentation of the Kingdom Come collection featured sophisticated, creative, and stylish designs inspired by designers Mr. Nana Poku and Mr. Kwaku Awauh’s love for Africa. The sophisticated fashion show was followed by a luxurious after party with music by Afro-Electronic Dance Music creator DJ Universe.

Nana Poku, founder of 54 Kingdoms, is ecstatic when he talks about the unparalleled elegance in the 2012 collection. “The Kingdom Come collection will be viewed with interest by the fashionable man and woman looking for something distinctive, provocative and sophisticated.”
