Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- CARLISLE BAY, BARBADOS (September 12, 2012)—The Barbados Beach Soccer International Cup scheduled for September 28th – 30th 2012 represents the first ever, international beach soccer tournament.  Players from Brazil, the US and the Caribbean, will meet on the beautiful beaches of Barbados to compete for the championship title.
This new and exciting format of the world's favorite game is part of The Banks Barbados Beach Soccer International Festival—a thrilling weekend with of non-stop action that caters to the entire family.  “The Banks Barbados Beach Soccer International Festival features more than just the thrilling sports competition,” says event organizer Dwayne Bishop. “It will immerse attendees into Barbados' electrifying beach culture.” It is anticipated that over 1,000 spectators will descend on the Carlisle Bay Beach each evening to watch the Brazilians and Americans compete against select Barbados teams for the coveted International Beach Soccer title.
Organizers predict an economic boost for weekend along with long-term growth that will strengthen the Barbados economy and provide visible exposure to a global market.  “We’ve already partnered with some major US tournaments to cross market and promote the Barbados Beach Soccer 2012 & 2013 Festival with reach of over 500,000” says Dwayne  “and we anticipate future partnerships with FIFA, and Beach Soccer worldwide.” Those attending will enjoy local food, a fashion show, halftime dancers, cheerleaders, an after party with live DJ and the chance to win many prizes and giveaways compliments of the tournaments sponsors.
