-- A staple in Oak Park dining, Lalo’s, is going through big changes. After over 30 years serving the community as Lalo’s, the authentic Mexican restaurant is now operating under a new name – Margaritas. There is a new look and feel in the works, but the same great flavors and friendly service will always remain.
Margaritas officially kicks off the new identity with a Grand Opening Party on Wednesday, September 19th from 6-9pm. The celebration will include strolling mariachi players, FREE appetizers and $2 Margaritas (with limit 2 per guest). Stop by and join the party!
“You knew us as Lalo’s, now we welcome you to come get to know us as Margaritas. Everything will be pretty much the same. Only better.” says Margaritas owner, Rene Roman. Lalo’s of Oak Park had many wonderful years in the community with the pleasure of serving multiple generations of customers. Roman and his staff look forward to continuing these relationships under the new name.
Why did the name change, you ask? While operating under the franchise, Roman felt there were certain limitations on freedom and creativity in the kitchen. Most of the same dishes will continue to be available, but Roman is looking forward to spicing up the menu with new options – specifically more seafood dishes.
Margaritas is open every day at 11am. They also offer a wonderful lunch buffet. Please see www.facebook.com/
