Complementing the existing leisure facilities at the four-star hotel in Warwick Road, the suite will offer four treatments: deep tissue massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, and a relaxation massage – all guaranteed to help you relax as you take time out under the expert hands of qualified holistic practitioner Sandy Sanghera.
Former assistant accountant Sandy retrained as a holistic therapist after being made redundant and has several years’ experience in the alternative therapy sector.
“I’ve always had an interest in the benefits of massage and when the opportunity came to retrain, I knew I had to do it,” she says.
“I am absolutely thrilled that St John’s Hotel has asked me to launch the therapy suite and I’m looking forward to helping guests and locals relax and unwind.”
The suite and treatment area, which is open seven days a week, 9.30am to 8pm, is a welcome addition to the hotel’s enviable leisure facilities, which comprise a gym, swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as exercise classes.
Sandy’s deep tissue massage concentrates on the deep layers of muscle tissue through slow and deep pressure massage movements – perfect for anyone who suffers from muscle tension or stress.
Reflexology is a therapy that treats the whole body through the stimulation of certain reflex points on the feet. Wonderfully relaxing, it can help to improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension.
Sandy’s relaxation massage is a gentle and soothing treatment that helps you to unwind and relax, while the aromatherapy massage combines the use of essential oils.
Welcoming Sandy to St John’s Hotel, general manager Darren McGhee, said: “We are already proud of our fine leisure facilities, so including holistic therapies is yet another benefit that our guests and locals can benefit from.”
Treatments take between 25 minutes and 50 minutes and must be pre-booked. To make an appointment, telephone St John’s Hotel on 0121 712 7607.
