s annual statewide child welfare conference is an exciting opportunity for child welfare professionals to share best practices to protect children, strengthen families and strive for standards of excellence in service. Lemonis was first introduced to NVEEE when featured on the ABC show “Secret Millionaire”
. After seeing firsthand the difference NVEEE made in the lives of young South Floridians, Lemonis gave a substantial financial gift to NVEEE and has continued supporting the organization with their endeavors.
“Being a part of “Secret Millionaire”
and meeting the great people at NVEE is extremely rewarding for me and I am grateful to be honored by NVEE at their event,” said Marcus. “Bullying is something I dealt with first hand as a child and seeing the difference NVEEE makes in the lives of these young people and their anti-bullying initiatives are going to have a positive impact in their communities.”
Lemonis’ donation from “Secret Millionaire”
provided NVEEE the opportunity to create a stellar curriculum with the “Not on My Watch” School-wide Bullying Prevention Program. The program has now been approved to launch in three Broward County Public Schools and one Miami-Dade County School. Lemonis attended the school in Miami, Riviera Preparatory School in Coral Gables, where the initial program in Miami is being launched.
