For the fourth consecutive year, Remington College cosmetology programs provided complimentary back-to-school haircuts for kids ages 17 and under.
The program, called Cuts for Kids, has provided more than 9,500 complimentary back-to-school haircuts since its inception.
“Cuts for Kids is a win-win for all the students involved,” said Dr. Mike Lanouette, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Remington College. “Our cosmetology students get hands-on, real-world experience providing the haircuts, and the kids coming in for haircuts get to look and feel their best as they head back to school.”
The Remington College Cosmetology Program takes a hands-on approach to teaching students the art of hair, skin and nail care. The program is available at thirteen Remington College campuses: Baton Rouge, Memphis, Tampa, Houston (three locations), Cleveland, Mobile, Lafayette, Nashville, Dallas and Columbia (South Carolina) and Honolulu.
Community involvement is high priority at Remington College. In addition to Cuts for Kids, Remington campuses also hold blood drives, holiday food and toy drives, job fairs, health fairs and other community events.
