PODS® appoints John B. Koch as president and CEO

Sept. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- (CLEARWATER, Fla.) – PODS Enterprises, Inc., a leader in the moving and storage industry, announced today that it has named John B. Koch as its new president and chief executive officer. Koch, 49, currently serves as the president of ADT North America, Residential/Small Business in Boca Raton, Fla., and will begin his new role with PODS on Monday, Sept. 17.

Koch’s career spans more than 25 years in marketing, operations and corporate general management. He began his career at ADT in 2006 as chief operating officer and he subsequently led the full portfolio of ADT North America, the largest single provider of electronic security services throughout the region. In his current role, Koch is responsible for setting the strategic vision for this $3 billion segment of Tyco International and oversees business operations in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, including more than 16,000 employees, 200 branch offices, six customer monitoring centers and 6.4 million customers.

Prior to joining ADT, Koch was president of wireline services at Alltel, and held responsibilities that included local telephone, long distance, Internet, broadband data and directory operations. Koch graduated from the University of Virginia with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Systems Engineering.
